This vibrant role offers the opportunity to create engaging lessons, nurture curiosity, and support students in reaching their full potential. As a key member of our educational community, you will implement innovative teaching strategies, manage a dynamic classroom environment, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning experience. This classroom offers a full-time classroom assistant, also a certificate teacher! Practicing Catholic preferred. Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding across subjects. Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations. Provide individualized support through tutoring, early intervention strategies, and accommodations for students with special needs or autism. Mentor and collaborate with fellow teachers to share best practices in curriculum development, behavior management, and instructional techniques. Incorporate library services and literacy education resources to promote reading skills and a love for learning among students. Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, or other educational philosophies as applicable. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications required. Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in third grade. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies. Familiarity with teaching literacy education, math instruction, and working with students with diverse needs. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques. Knowledge of assessment procedures and data analysis for student progress monitoring. Private/Catholic school experience or early intervention background is advantageous but not required.
