Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher (K-5) for the 2026/27 academic year to inspire and nurture young learners. This vibrant role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting students' academic and social-emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring energy, innovation, and a commitment to educational excellence, ensuring each child reaches their full potential in a dynamic learning setting. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects including literacy, math, science, and social studies. Utilize diverse teaching strategies and learning technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations. Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum. Incorporate early childhood education principles and childhood development insights into daily activities. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, parents, and specialists to support student success and implement curriculum development initiatives. Engage in ongoing professional development related to teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention strategies. Mentor new teachers or interns, sharing best practices in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with children of diverse backgrounds. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and other administrative documentation in education management systems. Experience Prior classroom experience working with elementary students (K-5), demonstrating effective classroom management skills. Proven expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and social studies. Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education or early intervention programs. Familiarity with learning technology tools used for instruction and assessment purposes. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to prepare students for assessments. Background in early childhood education or Montessori methods is a plus. Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Experience working in private schools or similar educational settings is desirable but not required.
