Summit School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 3rd grade Teacher to join our team . Expert knowledge and an understanding of best practices in the field of remediation of language based learning differences are strongly desired. Preference will be given to candidates who have training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to multisensory, structured language education. In addition, the position requires the ability to work collaboratively within a grade level team and to communicate effectively with parents. Summit's Triad Academy Lower School Our Lower School is committed to progressive principles of education. Specific qualifications include:

An orientation toward a progressive philosophy and an experiential approach to learning. Formal training in education, special education, or science education (M.A., M.Ed.,or M.A.T. preferred) Formal training in multisensory, structured language education (at a minimum Associate level

) preferred. Classroom experience working with elementary grades and/or dyslexic students (3+ years) strongly preferred Experience in curriculum development Demonstrated strength in teaching language arts for both conceptual understanding and skill mastery.
