Job Description

Job Overview FPPK is a family-centered school in Englewood NJ which serves children 2-6 years old. We are seeking a warm and thoughtful TK/ Kindergarten Teacher who enjoys working with all children and supporting families. It would be a plus if the candidate has some background knowledge of high- quality education practiced such as Reggio Emilia, Montessori or Bank Street developmental approach. This is a 10 month position will lots of paid time off. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help children develop essential skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical activity, setting the stage for lifelong learning. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with families, and implement innovative teaching strategies to foster a love of learning in every child. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and students interests. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports behavior management and classroom management best practices. Facilitate engaging activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical education to support holistic childhood development. Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior management strategies, and curriculum updates. Experience Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or private schools. Strong background in childhood development theories such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches like early intervention programs. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and literacy education is essential. Equally perfect for a head teacher who is starting out or a seasoned professional.
