Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a caring, energetic, and faith-filled Elementary School Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This role is perfect for an educator who brings creativity to the classroom, values strong relationships with students and families, and is committed to supporting the mission and teachings of the Catholic faith. Our teachers help create a joyful, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential. Responsibilities The Elementary School Teacher will: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and student learning goals Create a welcoming, inclusive, and faith-centered classroom environment Support students with diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction and early intervention strategies Use effective teaching methods, tutoring approaches, and classroom resources to strengthen student understanding Incorporate technology, hands-on activities, literature, and creative learning tools to enrich instruction Monitor student progress, assess learning, and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents/guardians Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student growth, needs, and accomplishments Implement positive behavior management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and self-discipline Foster a love of reading, literacy, and lifelong learning through classroom instruction and library resources Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance student success Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities Support the Catholic identity of the school through instruction, example, prayer, and participation in school faith life Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Valid teaching certification or license Practicing Catholic faith and commitment to supporting Catholic teachings and values Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting Familiarity with Catholic education, Catholic traditions, and faith-based instruction Knowledge of early intervention strategies and student support techniques Understanding of effective approaches for students with autism spectrum disorders and other learning differences Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, structured learning environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and school leadership Knowledge of education administration principles and best practices is a plus Preferred Experience Previous teaching experience in a Catholic school setting Specialized training in literacy, special education, early intervention, autism support, or differentiated instruction Experience using classroom technology and digital learning tools Background in tutoring or small-group instruction What We Offer We offer a supportive school community, competitive salary packages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for ongoing professional growth.
