Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant educational community as a dedicated Elementary School Teacher for 1st Grade, where your enthusiasm and expertise will ignite a love for learning in young minds. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to support literacy education, math skills, and overall early childhood development. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence. Incorporate learning technology and library services to enhance instructional delivery and encourage independent exploration. Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing and formative assessments; adapt instruction accordingly to meet individual learning needs. Provide mentorship and support to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services, including working with children with autism. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure inclusive classroom practices. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and student progress reports in accordance with education administration standards. Qualifications Proven classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting; private school experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to develop creative curriculum content through curriculum development expertise. Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education strategies, math instruction, tutoring techniques, and working with individuals with autism or special needs. Proficiency in learning technology tools and digital resources to support instruction and student engagement. Valid teaching certification or licensure for elementary education; additional qualifications in Montessori or other specialized methodologies are advantageous.
