Elementary School Teacher Position Summary The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instructional lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The teacher creates a positive learning environment, implements curriculum standards, and works collaboratively with staff and families to support student success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with district and state curriculum standards. Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and respect. Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of assessment tools and strategies. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Manage classroom behavior and establish clear expectations for student conduct. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and administrators to improve instructional practices. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Support the social and emotional development of students. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid state teaching certification for elementary education. Knowledge of instructional strategies, classroom management, and student assessment practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff. Work Environment Classroom setting in an elementary school. Daily interaction with students, teachers, administrators, and families.
