The educator will teach 1:1 in an innovative, creative and fluid classroom construct. The educator will be expected to teach full-time in-person as this is a full-time exempt teaching position. This is an international search for the right candidate, and the family will be providing airfare, lodging, transportation, etc. There is also additional international travel. Teacher will be flown home for long holiday breaks, but do not apply if you cannot travel for extensive periods of time. Candidates must also have a valid passport. Preference will be given to teachers that have taught overseas and speak more than one language. Ideal candidates must have the following:A MINIMUM
of 5 years experience teaching Pre-K to Grade 2, preferably in a private school setting- Teaching certification, preferably K-5
- Fluent in English (this is a MUST)
- Literacy specialization, preferably with training in Orton Gillingham and/or Wilson, and experience working with English Language Learners
- Understanding of accelerated/gifted/differentiated learning and PBL
- Conscientious, patient, compassionate, flexible and professional
- Strong handle on keeping pace with curriculum, comfortable with creating lesson plans, assessments, projects and tests
- Can easily go back and forth between different subjects with a symbiotic emphasis
- Experience working 1-on-1, small group classes or in homeschool constructs
- SEL/Mindfulness training
- Familiarity with Singapore math is strongly preferred
- Ability to create interdisciplinary activities (i.e. competitive task work, STEAM projects, geography deep dives)
- Have a personal computer with email/MS Office AND a cell phone with access to email
- valid passport
