In this role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and academic growth. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help students develop essential skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical development. As a First Grade Teacher, you will collaborate with colleagues, engage families, and implement innovative teaching strategies to support each child's unique journey. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and arts. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance techniques. Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing when applicable. Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enhance instruction and student engagement. Support early intervention strategies for students with special needs or learning differences, including working with children with autism or in special education programs. Mentor and collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to share best practices and improve instructional methods. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Proven classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood curriculum development. Experience with literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities. Familiarity with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and library services integration. Skills in classroom management, behavior management, tutoring, and working with children with diverse needs including those requiring special education or early intervention support. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
