A Tennessee Public Schools First Grade Teacher creates a positive, high-quality learning environment by delivering instruction based on Tennessee Academic Standards. Key Responsibilities InstructionPlanning:
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet Tennessee academic standards and facilitate active learning in core subjects.
AssessmentData:
Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments to inform instruction and track developmental milestones.
Classroom Management:
Establish a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom culture conducive to learning.
Individualized Support:
Provide differentiated instruction, including small-group work, to support diverse learning needs and behavioral intervention plans.
CollaborationCommunication:
Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and collaborate with staff, including IEP or 504 teams.
Qualifications Licensure:
Valid Tennessee teaching certification with the appropriate elementary education endorsement (e.g., PreK-3 or K-5).
Education:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
