2 years (Required) Teaching Certification (Preferred) Full Job Description Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person elementary homeschool teacher to teach all core subjects to two girls (10 & 6 yrs old) at their home in southwest Knoxville, TN 37922. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time homeschool teacher position Monday - Friday from 9am-2pm teaching just two kids that pays $70,000/year + Paid Time Off similar to public & private schools. This opportunity will begin in September for the upcoming school year. Looking for a teacher who is patient, loving and affectionate, yet firm enough to set boundaries. The right teacher will be able to show grace and have a good rapport with the students, but also will be able to command respect and move the kids forward. Applicants must be able to teach all elementary subjects at least through 5th grade (middle school is preferred) in a homeschool environment. The teacher will be responsible for all required homeschool filings and for submitting curriculum info through the umbrella private school, while overseeing and implementing a homeschool curriculum chosen by the parents. (The parents are open to collaborating with the teacher about which curriculum or curricula is used, but the parents will make the final decision and the curriculum will align with state standards.) The teacher will track progress and maintain records, while tailoring the education to each student's level and pace. The right teacher should also be capable of and enthusiastic about adding supplemental hands-on education-related activities when appropriate. Enjoying the flexibility of occasionally teaching in a different atmosphere (like outdoors when weather permits) would also be a good fit, and teachers should be comfortable with teaching remotely when the family is traveling. (Alternatively, the teacher may also have opportunities to travel with the family at the teacher's option.) Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA, and at least 2 years of elementary teaching experience. (Multi-grade instruction experience is preferred, and some middle school teaching experience is a plus.) State teacher certification is preferred, but not required. Requirements:

Minimum BA/BS, and at least 2 years elementary teaching experience is required. Multi-grade teaching experience and some prior middle school teaching experience along with state teacher certification is preferred. Must be well-organized and have your own reliable transportation and cell phone. Must be able to teach all elementary subjects at least through 5th grade and travel to the home of the students in person in Knoxville, TN 37922 Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm.
