Iowa Park CISD Primary Purpose Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in all core academic subject areas designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in school and beyond. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate grade-level certification (EC-6 Generalist or Core Subjects) ESL certification (preferred or required per district guidelines) Demonstrated knowledge of 2nd grade curriculum and best instructional practices Key Responsibilities Instruction & Planning Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans for all core subjects (reading, writing, math, science, and social studies) Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners Use data to drive instructional decisions and adjust teaching practices Integrate district curriculum resources and campus expectations into daily instruction Classroom Environment Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom culture Implement effective classroom management strategies that maximize instructional time Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports all students Assessment & Progress Monitoring Assess student progress regularly using formal and informal methods Maintain accurate records of student performance Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress with families Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with grade-level team members, instructional coaches, and support staff Participate actively in PLCs and campus professional development Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians Work closely with interventionists, special education staff, and other support personnel to meet student needs Professional Responsibilities Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members Participate in campus events and duties as assigned Demonstrate a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement Support campus goals, initiatives, and a positive school culture Additional Expectations at Kidwell Elementary Commitment to high levels of learning for all students Willingness to collaborate and be a strong team player Focus on building relationships with students and families Dedication to creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences Working Conditions Maintain emotional control under stress Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (light to moderate) Work in a standard classroom environment Email To A Friend Print Version Postings current as of 3/21/2026 12:15:59 AM CST.
