Full-Time Position Summary Reach Academy is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student-centered Elementary Teacher to work in a nontraditional educational setting where students receive individualized instruction and learn at their own pace. Students may range from 1st-5th grade and may be working at varying academic levels. The ideal candidate enjoys working with diverse learners, can differentiate instruction, and is passionate about helping each student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Special Education experience is highly preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Learning Provide engaging, individualized instruction to elementary students in grades 1st-5th Differentiate lessons and assignments based on each student's academic level and learning needs Work with students individually and in small groups rather than relying solely on whole-group instruction Monitor and support student progress through ongoing assessments and observation Create a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles Student Support Build positive relationships with students and encourage academic confidence Support students with varying learning needs, including ADHD, autism, learning differences, and behavioral challenges Implement accommodations and support plans when appropriate Assist students with organization, independence, and self-regulation skills Classroom Management Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment Use positive behavior support strategies Manage multiple students working at different levels simultaneously Collaborate effectively with classroom aides and support staff Communication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress Collaborate with administrators, support staff, therapists, and fellow teachers Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities Maintain student records and progress documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required Teaching certification preferred Elementary teaching experience preferred Special Education experience strongly preferred Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, learning differences, or behavioral needs is a plus Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to differentiate instruction effectively Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Characteristics Patient and compassionate Flexible and adaptable Creative problem-solver Strong relationship builder Passionate about helping students succeed individually Comfortable working in a nontraditional educational environment Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout classrooms and campus Ability to assist students during activities and transitions Ability to occasionally lift classroom materials and supplies
Work Schedule Monday-Friday School Hours:
8:30 AM-3:00
PM Teacher Hours:
8:00 AM-4:00 PM Includes daily planning time and lunch period
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
