Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to teach math to small groups of homeschool students. One group is 2nd and 3rd grade and the other is 5th and 6th grade. The teacher does not have to be certified. The teacher MUST be passionate to teach math for 2nd-6th grade. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students in grades 1-6. This role involves following lesson plans, engaging students in math, and fostering a love for learning while ensuring that each child's individual needs are met. Responsibilities Teach and guide through math curriculum for various grade levels and learning needs. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and promote respectful behavior among students. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. Assist the lead teacher with any additional help needed. Create a safe and inclusive space for all students, including those with special needs or different learning styles. Skills Strong classroom management abilities to maintain an orderly learning environment. Experience working with children in various settings, including school, daycare or preschool environments. Proficiency in teaching math concepts effectively. Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff effectively. Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs and experiences. A genuine passion for nurturing young minds and fostering their academic growth.
