Immediately Job Description Primary Purpose Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in mathematics and science designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society and meet Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) expectations. Qualifications Education/Certification Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate elementary certification Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of elementary mathematics and science curriculum and instruction Ability to implement TEKS-based lessons Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to analyze and use student data to drive instruction Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with grade-level teams Experience Student teaching or classroom teaching experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Strategies Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and TEKS standards for math and science. Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners. Differentiate instruction to support students at varying academic levels. Incorporate hands-on learning, problem solving, and inquiry-based science activities. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress. Classroom Management Establish and maintain a positive and structured learning environment. Manage student behavior in accordance with district and campus expectations. Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and academic risk-taking. Student Growth and Development Assess student learning regularly and provide feedback to students and parents. Identify struggling students and provide interventions or support. Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. Communication Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Participate in parent conferences and campus meetings. Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to improve instruction. Professional Growth Participate in professional development and staff meetings. Stay current with best practices in elementary math and science instruction. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and other assigned areas as required.Position Type:
