Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Transitional Kindergarten Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging curriculum tailored to the unique needs of young learners transitioning from preschool to kindergarten. Your expertise will foster a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. As a leader in early childhood education, you will inspire both students and staff while ensuring compliance with educational standards and best practices. Duties Design and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones, literacy education, math skills, and Montessori principles where applicable. Lead classroom activities that promote active learning, social interaction, and early intervention strategies for children with diverse needs. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and supportive environment. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support child welfare, early intervention efforts, and individualized education plans (IEPs). Oversee classroom management duties including organization of materials, maintaining a stimulating learning environment, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress in literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development. Mentor assistant teachers and support staff to uphold high standards in childcare, preschool experience practices, and classroom experience. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; advanced certifications in special education or Montessori teaching are highly desirable. Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior leadership roles as a lead teacher preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively. Familiarity with curriculum development tools focusing on literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and early intervention programs. Ability to implement lesson planning that incorporates innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Commitment to child welfare standards and best practices in early childhood education; experience with standardized testing is advantageous.
