Aug 17, 2026 Job Description Braintree Elementary School (just 12 minutes from Exit 4/Randolph on Interstate 89) is seeking a dedicated, student-centered educator to join our elementary team. This position includes responsibility for a homeroom classroom, mathematics instruction for students in Grades 1-3 utilizing the Bridges in Mathematics curriculum, and science/social studies instruction that incorporates authentic reading and writing experiences. Our instructional model emphasizes collaboration, responsiveness, and meeting the needs of the whole child. Students participate in a daily "What I Need" (WIN) block, where targeted intervention and enrichment are provided in partnership with an Academic Interventionist. Teachers also collaborate regularly with an instructional coach to strengthen teaching practices and student outcomes. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally while contributing to a positive, collaborative school culture. Responsibilities
  • Instruction and Student Learning
  • Serve as the homeroom teacher for an assigned group of students.
  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction.
  • Provide mathematics instruction for students in Grades 1-3 using the Bridges in Mathematics curriculum.
  • Integrate reading and writing opportunities within science and social studies instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes engagement, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Whole Child Development
  • Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
  • Implement Responsive Classroom practices to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build strong partnerships with students and families.
  • Promote student independence, responsibility, and positive peer relationships. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, special educators, specialists, and support staff to improve student outcomes.
  • Participate in professional learning communities, team meetings, and school improvement efforts.
  • Use student data and evidence-based practices to guide instruction, intervention, and enrichment decisions. Qualifications
  • Valid teaching certification in Elementary Education (or eligibility for certification).
  • Knowledge of child development and effective elementary instructional practices.
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, the Bridges in Mathematics curriculum.
  • Experience with, or commitment to implementing, Responsive Classroom practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
