Aug 19, 2026 Job Description Proctor Elementary School•Anticipated Classroom Teacher•Proctor Elementary School is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic K-6 classroom teacher to join our school community. This position is anticipated beginning the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: Knowledge of elementary research-based best practices including the Science of Reading Knowledge of MTSS and layered instructional practices including data collection Knowledge of small group instructional practice using layered instructional practices Knowledge of effective literacy practices, including knowledge of the Orton-Gillingham approach for intermediate elementary Students Knowledge of proficiency based grading practices. Knowledge of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards with delineation between GRCSU priority and secondary standards Evidence of integrating technology into the learning environment beyond Supervisory Union agreed upon programming Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols Knowledge of formative and summative curricular assessments and use of data to inform instruction. Knowledge of best practices to support student social emotional needs including regulation, restorative and proactive approaches. Evidence of strong connection with students and families. Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application. Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
