The Civil Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, Computer Science & Construction Management is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related field) or a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related field) plus significant relevant professional or teaching experience, proficiency in spoken and written English, technical skills appropriate for courses taught, and the ability to teach undergraduate civil engineering courses.Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in the civil engineering profession and licensure as a Professional Engineering (PE), Structural Engineer (SE), or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).Responsibilities:
Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the area of teaching one or more courses. This includes delivering lectures, creating/grading assignments, and creating/grading exams. Additionally, some courses include sections dedicated to learning activities and laboratory exercises. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department. How toApply:
