Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor and Industrial Maintenance Instructor at the NEW Christian County High School! Your expertise will ignite the passion for technical excellence among aspiring professionals. In this role, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training that bridges classroom theory with real-world application. Responsibilities Deliver instruction on aircraft maintenance procedures, including troubleshooting, repairs, and safety protocols aligned with industry standards. Develop and update curriculum materials that incorporate current industry practices and emerging technologies Conduct classroom lectures and hands-on training sessions Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations by teaching safety standards and conducting regular safety audits within training labs and workshops. Assess student progress through practical evaluations and written assessments; provide constructive feedback Maintain detailed records of student attendance, performance metrics, and certification progress to support program accreditation efforts. Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training content remains relevant and aligned with current workforce needs in aircraft maintenance and industrial trades. Skills Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards relevant to industrial maintenance and aviation environments. Ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate hands-on activities and real-world scenarios for maximum student engagement. Technical expertise in both industrial maintenance and aircraft maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of four years of verifiable work experience in aircraft and/or industrial maintenance Willingness to pursue and obtain KY Teacher certification through a state mentoring program A genuine desire to mentor and guide high school students Ability to create a safe, engaging and hands-on learning environment
FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK AND LETTER FROM THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES STATING THE EMPLOYEE IS CLEAR TO HIRE BASED ON NO FINDINGS OF SUBSTANTIATED CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT FOUND THROUGH A BACKGROUND CHECK OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT RECORDS MAINTAINED BY THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
