About the Opportunity Kalamazoo Valley is seeking an experienced Electrical Technology instructor to fill a full-time, tenure-track position. Individuals should be familiar with a variety of instructional strategies and have an understanding of the community college philosophy. In addition, candidates should possess experience with curriculum development and a willingness to collaborate across divisions. Applications are invited from interested candidates who value and engage in high-quality, student-centered instruction. Duties will include teaching a variety of lecture and lab courses in the Electrical Technology (ELT) Program, assisting in developing curriculum and participating in and leading departmental and college activities that support initiatives related to enrollment management, retention, student engagement and student success. Teaching assignments include a variety of day and evening courses. The position also includes opportunities for curriculum development, educational assessments, retention, enrollment management, student engagement, student success and professional growth and enrichment. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to embrace teamwork as they develop or redesign courses to meet student, transfer and workforce needs. This person may assist with electrical related instruction within the HVAC program. Currently, our needs include a focus on commercial electrical and industrial automation and supporting Kalamazoo Valley Community College's growth in renewable energy systems. This position is anticipated to start Fall 2026.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in electrical technology or a field directly related to electrical. At least 2 years of related work experience in the field of electrical, electronic and/or automation. Preferred Qualifications and
