North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) seeks an Adjunct HVAC/R Faculty member to support workforce-focused instruction within the Career Innovation Center (CIC). This position delivers hands-on, installation-focused, industry-aligned instruction designed to prepare students for immediate entry into HVAC/R and mechanical trades careers.Instructional Delivery:
Face-to-face and lab-based instruction Flexible scheduling, including evening or block formats as needed Minimum Requirements Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS Significant industry experience in HVAC/R, refrigeration, or mechanical systems Appropriate industry licensure, certification, or credentials relevant to HVAC/R instruction (degree preferred but not required) Ability to articulate and support the two-year postsecondary college philosophy with a commitment to teaching and learning in a workforce-focused setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Motivated, self-directed, and able to work effectively and professionally with students and staff Basic computer and instructional technology skills Willingness to support competency-based and accelerated instructional models Preferred Qualifications EPA 608 certification Experience with residential, commercial, or refrigeration systems Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience Experience working with adult learners or non-traditional students Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas) Additional InformationPAY RATE
Current NDSCS adjunct pay rate (calculated per credit taught - $1,099 per credit)DATE AVAILABLE
