Regular or Visiting Faculty (2026) | Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering(CVE) in the College of Engineering at American University ofSharjah (AUS) invites applications for a regular or visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencingin Fall Semester 2026. The successful candidate for the regular position will be expected to establish a high level, active research programsupported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting faculty position are primarily focused on teaching. The visiting positionis a one-year renewable contract and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract. The applicant is required to have a PhDin Civil Engineering or a closely related field and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research,in addition to experience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable. Applicants for the regular position should be inthe specialty of construction engineering and management and/or digital construction.
