explores how global sporting events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games are transformed into compelling narratives for mass audiences, with a focus on multiplatform content creation and distribution. Applicants should be able to teach students how to conceptualize, pitch, and produce multiplatform podcasts, including trailers and pilot episodes. Instruction will emphasize audio storytelling, video editing, and the creation of supporting media assets such as social media videos, promotional one-sheets, and key art. Students will work both individually and collaboratively, requiring the instructor to foster a team-based production environment. Applicants should also be familiar with multiplatform editorial strategies, including audience engagement, distribution models, and the evolving media landscape surrounding large-scale sporting events. A strong working knowledge of audio and video editing tools, digital publishing platforms, and social media storytelling is expected. Requirements for consideration include a B.A., B.S., M.S., or M.A. degree in journalism, communications, media production, or a related field. Previous teaching experience is desirable; however, outstanding professional experience in multimedia storytelling, podcast production, or sports media may be substituted for academic credentials. The hourly range for this position is $37.88 - $46.96. USC reserves the "Adjunct" appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere.
