Continuous Position Description Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the ESL Department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for ESL instructors. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's in TESL, TESOL, applied linguistics with a TESL emphasis, linguistics with a TESL emphasis, English with a TESL emphasis or education with a TESL emphasis; OR Bachelor's in TESL, TESOL, English with a TESL certificate, linguistics with a TESL certificate, applied linguistics with a TESL certificate, or any foreign language with a TESL certificate AND master's in linguistics, applied linguistics, English, composition, bilingual/bicultural studies, reading, speech or any foreign language; OR Possession of a valid California Community College credential authorizing service as an instructor of English as a Second Language (ESL); OR The equivalent; AND Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

COMPENSATION
Part-time faculty compensation is commensurate with education and District teaching experience according to the lecture, lab, or non-instructional rate schedules.
