Job Description
Simpson University's Department of Business Administration has an emphasis in Sports Management and seeks a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in team coaching skills, event management and promotion, budget and financing and sports communication. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience teaching in institutions of higher education. Simpson University is a Christian liberal arts institution located in Northern California and requires candidates to have an active and personal relationship with Jesus and a vibrant Christian faith.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Sports Management is required and a PhD is preferred. 1-3 years of coaching experience on the high school or college level is required. 1-3 years of teaching on the college level is desired. Strong written and oral communication skills is required especially since the University's populations is ethnically diverse and many students are first generation college students. Previous experience with classroom learning systems such as Canvas is preferred.General Expectations:

Teach assigned in person and possibly hybrid classes in a semester format Conduct essential teaching responsibilities including (but not limited to) class/lesson preparation, instruction, grading, and student course support Advise and mentor students. Adjunct faculty are not required to hold office hours on campus but contact with students via Teams, phone, and/or email for these duties is required Meet with the Chair of the Business Department as needed Ensure the timely completion of course assessments, grades and other reports as required Comply with all university policies, procedures, and expectations Perform additional duties as assigned by theDepartment Chair Physical Requirements:
