Exempt Bargaining Unit 0 Description Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $300.00 - $4,500.00 per course. Governors State University's College of Health and Human Services seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Clinical and Teaching Faculty candidates to supervise graduate students and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Communication Disorders program. The major responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member would include one or more of the following: 1. to serve as university supervisor of graduate students in external practica in speech-language pathology (i.e., serve as liaison between university and external practicum site); 2. to serve as a clinical supervisor of graduate students in a pre-practicum course in speech-language in pediatric and adult community settings; 3. to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in areas of need including child language, adult language, voice, and/or fluency. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate. Required and Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of post-CFY clinical experience as an SLP-Experience supervising graduate students in clinical settings in speech-language pathology-Teaching experience.
