Lecturer in Film (Film Production) Brandeis University - 4.4 Waltham, MA Job Details Part-time $8,764.20 a month 12 hours ago Qualifications Film Mid-level Syllabus development Teaching filmmaking Training Teaching Full Job Description The Program in Film, Television, and Interactive Media at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for FILM 110A, Film Production 1, a 4 credit course to be offered in the fall semester of 2026. The course introduces students to the basic principles of film production; it focuses on issues such as image composition, camera movement, editing, and sound in the context of fictional narrative cinema. The class meets on Mondays, 9:05-11:55. Enrollment is limited; the course draws primarily from Film majors. Candidates with an advanced degree in an appropriate field and relevant professional and/or teaching experience will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. This appointment is to a position included in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509. The compensation for this assignment is $8764.20.
