The English Department at Jefferson Community College invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions teaching military students at Fort Drum. This is an opportunity to support the educational goals of active-duty service members and their families. We have openings for instructors to teach Basic Composition and College Composition, with additional opportunities potentially available in Research and Composition or Literature and Composition. We're looking for dedicated educators who understand the unique needs of military students and are committed to helping them succeed academically while serving their country.Requirements:
Master's degree in an English-related field (English, Composition and Rhetoric, Literary Studies, etc.) preferred, however candidates with a bachelor's degree and relevant teaching/tutoring experience will be considered. Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education. Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur. Level A - $665/credit hour Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.Application Instructions:
