Sinclair's bachelor and associate degrees and technical certificate programs prepare graduates for careers as commercial fixed wing and helicopter pilots, aircraft mechanics, flight attendants, aircraft dispatchers, aviation managers and unmanned aerial systems operators and technicians. Principal Accountabilities Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed and prepared by the department Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student's needs Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning Maintain accurate records of student progress Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines Maintain confidentiality of student information Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum of a bachelor's degree in aviation, aeronautics, UAS, or related area required, master's degree preferred OR must meet the specific requirements associated with the following:

Tested Experience:

Minimum of an Associate's degree in content area or related field required Possess a widely accepted license or certification in the industry required FAA pilot certificate (private, commercial, or instructor) preferred UAS pilot or cred experience preferred Must be a US Citizen for ITAR compliance required Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction Official transcripts for all post-secondary degrees (if applicable) and successful completion of a background check will be required prior to date of hire.
