The Tri-County Technical College Comprehensive Studies Department is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Developmental and/or Transitional English Adjunct Instructors. Reporting to the Comprehensive Studies Department Head, the successful candidates will teach courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program; maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades for the program. Teaching assignments may include day classes at the Pendleton Campus, Anderson Campus or online. The Fall 2026 Semester begins on August 10. This role is part-time and does not include benefits. Coursework may include courses covering basic grammar and usage, mechanics, sentence structure, and basic writing. Assignments will include the writing of a variety of unified and coherent compositions with evidence of a controlling idea, introduction, body, and conclusion. Evidence of planning, organizing, drafting, editing, and revising are emphasized in the courses along with a study of different modes of writing for a variety of rhetorical situations. Applicants should have an interest or background in a learning outcome-based curriculum and have a desire to work in a collaborative environment and with underprepared and under-resourced student populations Successful candidates will be required to teach face-to-face instruction at one of our four community campuses (Anderson, Easley, Pendleton, or Oconee). Bachelor's degree in English and desire to help students prepare to be successful in their college level English classes. Master's degree in English and experience teaching developmental English at the Community College level preferred.
