Description:
The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) Department of English seeks qualified and committed instructors for the position of Part-of-Term Adjunct Faculty. Hired instructors will teach in-person or online sections of
TCOM 3302
Business and Technical Writing during the 8-week 1 and 8-week 2 sessions of a fall/spring semester. The position is NOT eligible for benefits. To apply, candidates must submit a resume or curriculum vitae and a cover letter. Official transcripts and two signed letters of reference on academic letterhead will be required from candidates who reach the final stage of consideration, but these documents are not needed in the initial application. The departmental Assistant Chair will inform candidates about how and when to submit their transcripts and letters of reference.
Required Qualifications:
PhD or MA in Technical Communication (or directly related discipline)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching college-level professional/technical writing courses as instructor of record All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
