Summary :
Ability to teach in an effective and competent manner.
Education and Experience :
Master's Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with a minimum of 18 graduate level semester hours in the teaching field.
- Prefer three years' experience teaching at Community college.
Knowledge Skills and Ability :
Must be punctual, dependable and have the ability to follow directions and proficiently complete task.
Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact with students during course lectures.
Ability to teach in an effective manner.
Essential Functions:
Complete and return certified rolls, and final grade rolls within deadlines as dictated by registrar.
Carefully maintain attendance records. Advise students of attendance and withdrawal procedures as explained in the current Central Texas College Catalogue.
Provide regular and meaningful feedback on student writing and performance.
To meet every scheduled class on time and keep the class for the entire class period.
Notify the Area Supervisor immediately if it is necessary to be absent from class so that a substitute can be obtained.
Maintain textbooks, manuals, etc. furnished by the college In order to return to the Area Supervisor at the completion of the semester.
Issue to each student at the beginning of the semester an approved course syllabus that communicates in writing in the specific's objectives, requirements, and methods of evaluating academic performance.
Must post grades at end of the course.
