In this role, you will foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking while creating a dynamic classroom environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help students develop essential skills in literacy, communication, and comprehension, setting a strong foundation for their future learning adventures. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy, writing skills, and language arts proficiency. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques that support diverse learning needs. Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparations, to tailor instruction accordingly. Provide individualized support and tutoring to students who need extra help in reading, writing, or comprehension skills. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education accommodations, and early intervention strategies to ensure inclusive education for all students. Mentor new or less experienced teachers by sharing best practices in classroom management, lesson planning, and literacy education. Engage with parents and guardians through clear communication about student progress, behavior management strategies, and ways to support learning at home. Support students by implementing appropriate instructional strategies and modifications. Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as library services integration or extracurricular activities related to literacy and writing. Skills Certified in Elementary Education Proven experience in classroom management combined with strong behavior management skills to maintain an organized learning environment. Expertise in curriculum development tailored for elementary education with a focus on literacy education, math integration, and early childhood development principles. Excellent writing skills with the ability to proofread student work effectively while providing constructive feedback. Knowledge of learning technology platforms used for teaching reading, writing, and assessment tools. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods to prepare students for assessments confidently. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, mentoring peers, and engaging parents positively.
