This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse learners, fostering their literacy, numeracy, and overall development through engaging lessons and personalized support. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong foundation in educational best practices to create a positive learning environment that encourages growth and curiosity. This position is perfect for educators eager to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility in their schedule. Duties Incorporate various learning technologies and teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Support students' literacy education, including creative writing, proofreading, copy editing, and understanding AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style. Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Mentor students on academic skills such as standardized testing preparation, public speaking, and critical thinking. Requirements Proven classroom experience working with children or middle school students in an educational setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts and engage students actively. Familiarity with learning technology tools used for remote or hybrid instruction. Demonstrated mentoring abilities and experience working with diverse student populations.
Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
