Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) Reading and Vocabulary Teacher to join our team. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to promote academic growth. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the English language, and a commitment to fostering a love for literature and language in students.Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Teach students various aspects of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the ISEE test strategies; strong knowledge of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, literature, and writing conventions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively plan and organize lessons to meet curriculum objectives
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education and adult education learners
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Familiarity with curriculum development principles and practices
