Job Description

Brief Role SummaryTeaches one or more secondary subjects (grades 7-12) and fulfills all related instructional responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Structure:
Works under the direct supervision of the school/site administrator. Primary Responsibilities Plans and delivers instruction using standards-aligned curricula and appropriate course materials. Designs lessons, resources, and learning activities for both individuals and groups, adjusting instruction to meet diverse student needs. Monitors and assesses student learning, maintains accurate records, and communicates progress to students and families. Collaborates with counselors and support staff to identify student needs and implement strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns. Establishes and consistently enforces classroom expectations and routines that support a productive learning environment. Creates and sustains a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate. Carries out additional school duties and responsibilities as assigned. Additional Expectations Engages in ongoing professional learning and development to maintain and enhance instructional skills. Selects, requests, and utilizes textbooks, technology, and other instructional resources in line with District guidelines. May supervise and direct the work of instructional aides, paraprofessionals, and other classroom support personnel. Collaborates with colleagues in department, grade-level, and schoolwide initiatives. Required CredentialHolds a valid California single-subject (secondary) teaching credential appropriate for the assigned subject area(s).
Pay:
$65,563.51 - $133,644.89 per year
