  • San Diego, California We are seeking a professional and experienced Private Educator to provide individualized instruction for two students (Grades 3 and 7) in a private classroom setting.
This is a long-term role supporting their academic growth through high school while fostering overall development. The ideal candidate brings strong academic expertise, creativity, and adaptability, and values whole-child development, integrating academics, social-emotional growth, and life skills to support long-term success.   • based and experiential learning, while also supporting Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and the development of communication and language skills, including speech-related needs.
This role requires an educator who can combine strong academic instruction with meaningful real-world application, while fostering confidence, independence, and clear communication in a structured and engaging environment.

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM

Compensation:
$90,000
  • $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Competitive benefits package, including health coverage and recognized holidays Key Responsibilities Implement a customized curriculum aligned with California state standards, tailored to each student Provide instruction across core academic subjects, including: Mathematics, English Language Arts (reading, writing, and comprehension), Science, and Social Studies Deliver individualized instruction, adapting pace, content, and methodology as needed Incorporate experiential and project-based learning, including hands-on activities, real-world applications, and educational outings Support the development of communication and language skills, including verbal expression, vocabulary, comprehension, and speech development Integrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into daily instruction, supporting self
  • awareness, independence, communication, and critical thinking Support development of executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, and independent study habits Utilize appropriate educational tools and technology to enhance learning Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment Provide weekly progress updates, including grading and performance feedback Maintain consistent, professional communication with the family Collaborate, as appropriate, with external specialists (e.
g., speech or educational professionals) Maintain a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's degree preferred) Valid California teaching credential Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students, with the ability to support continued academic advancement Strong background in individualized instruction and differentiated learning Experience with project-based learning, experiential education, and SEL practices Experience supporting language development, communication, or speech-related needs strongly preferred Familiarity with educational technology and instructional tools Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability Additional Requirements Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check Ability to build and maintain a long-term, trusted relationship with both students and family Maintain a high level of discretion and respect for family privacy Commitment to consistency and continuity in instruction
