POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a passionate and culturally responsive Computer Teacher to join our team. This full-time role involves delivering engaging, student-centered basic computer skills instruction aligned with state standards and school curriculum. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about technology education and committed to supporting diverse learners in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Teach basic computer skills and technology courses to high school students, both youth and adults. Design lessons that integrate real-world applications and culturally relevant content. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying skill levels and language backgrounds. Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student work. Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive and interdisciplinary instructional program. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid California Single Subject in Business, Mathematics, or Industrial and Technology Education Teaching Credential with an EL or CLAD authorization. (Required) Experience teaching computer science or technology to high school students. (Highly Preferred) Bilingual in English and Spanish. (Highly Preferred) Strong classroom management and culturally responsive teaching practices. (Highly Preferred) Passion for social-emotional learning, arts integration, and culturally responsive pedagogy. (Required) Two current letters of recommendation. (Required) Ability to pass the Life Scan background check.
