HLCS is operated by Dominion Educational Services, LLC. Members of our faculty carefully lead students into an understanding of each subject and are able to maintain quiet, orderly, and disciplined classrooms. $23,500/year Curriculum Scope The teacher will implement the Memoria Press classical curriculum across both grades, which includes:

Latin:

Prima Latina or Latina Christiana (if already taken Prima Latina ).

Phonics, Spelling & Grammar:

Traditional Spelling

II & III

, Classical Phonics , and English Grammar Recitation I .

Composition & Penmanship:

New American Cursive II & III and Introduction to

Composition Literature:

Classic literature sets including Tales from Beatrix Potter , Little House in the Big Woods , Charlotte's Web , and Farmer Boy .

Mathematics:

Rod & Staff Math (Grades 2 & 3) alongside Memoria Math Drills .

Christian Studies:

The Story Bible , Christian Studies I , and D'Aulaire's Greek Myths .

Science & Culture:

The Book of Astronomy , U.S. States and Capitals, and Manner of the Week . Hiring Requirements Prior classical teaching experience is preferred, though not required.
