POSITION SUMMARY
St. John's College High School is seeking candidates for a position in the school's English Department for the 2025-2026 school year. St. John's faculty are empathetic to students' needs, creative, and guide students toward achievement. The English Department at St. John's offers a range of courses, and teachers focus their instruction and learning goals on the student-centered classroom where creativity, critical reading and writing skills, and collaboration are cultivated. This is a full-time position. Candidates who currently reside in the Washington, D.C. area will be prioritized for interviews.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
) Bachelor's degree in English, Literature or a related field Classroom teaching experience preferred Willingness to embrace a Lasallian, Catholic, educational community Desire to belong to a faculty that embraces inclusivity, collegiality, innovative instructional practice, collaboration, a process-driven mindset, and meeting students intellectually where they are
