MS English and Language Arts Teacher

05/22/2026 St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Miami, Florida is hiring for a qualified Middle School English and Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional plan for Middle School ELA students. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will be based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
BS / BA Degree in Secondary Education, English, Language Arts, or subject-related field.
Florida Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Language Arts.
Must obtain a catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Strong presentation skills use of instructional technologies.
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Good spelling and grammar are required.
Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
