We are a dynamic and inclusive language learning center dedicated to providing high-quality English instruction to international students. Our mission is to help young learners build strong language skills, cultural understanding, and confidence in their communication.
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate and experienced ESL teachers for a short-term summer Kids program. You will work with international students aged 6-12, Leading morning outings and delivering engaging, interactive ESL lessons in the afternoon.
Responsibilities:
- Activity leaders/ Teachers are responsible for children, divided into separate groups based on age.
- Each teacher oversees a group of up to 10 children, whom they help guide and keep safe on various exciting activities around Oahu such as beach days, park days, hikes, museums, and other points of interest for kids. Leaders will meet at our school and gather with their group to board pre-arranged buses to each activity.
- In the afternoon, teachers plan and teach daily ESL lessons (material provided by the school) Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Track student progress and communicate updates to program staff and parents Use a variety of instructional methods including games, group work, and multimedia
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, TESOL, or related field ESL certification (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) At least 1 year of ESL teaching experience, preferably with children Strong classroom management and adaptability Cultural sensitivity and enthusiasm for working with international students
Preferred Skills:
Experience teaching in summer or intensive ESL programs Multilingual skills are a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate of $19 for the activities and $23 for afternoon instructional period. supportive and collaborative teaching environment Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
