This role involves fostering a love for reading and writing among students while guiding them in the creation of the school yearbook. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in language arts education, be creative, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Language Arts that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Teach students essential reading, writing, and critical thinking skills through various literary genres and writing assignments.
  • Guide students in the planning, design, and production of the school yearbook, including photography, layout, and editing.
  • Collaborate with students to gather content, including interviews, articles, and artwork, for the yearbook.
  • Provide constructive feedback on student work and foster a supportive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Language Arts or K-8 General Certification.
  • Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in yearbook design software and digital photography is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Passion for literature and dedication to fostering student creativity.
