5th Grade English Language Arts Teacher

Schedule:

Full-Time The 5th Grade ELA Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, standards-based instruction that supports students in developing strong reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills. This role fosters a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to grow academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with Illinois Learning Standards Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and families Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and literacy resources into daily instruction Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to promote student success Maintain accurate records and classroom management procedures

Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Endorsement appropriate for elementary or middle grade instruction Strong background in literacy instruction and student engagement Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Passion for helping students grow as confident readers and writers This position is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about literacy, student-centered learning, and creating meaningful classroom experiences for upper elementary students.

Pay:

$42,229.00 - $94,108.00 per year
