QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements ESL Endorsement (NS) preferred or willing to obtain Must meet

MCL 380.1531

& Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers Bilingual Preferred Computer and data entry experience Knowledge and skills in technology Knowledge and skills to implement local high school curriculum Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

DUTIES:

Differentiate lessons for specific reading abilities Implement literature circles Provide one-on-one conferencing Develop groups with varied Lexile scores Analyze NWEA scores and set student goals Manage a classroom of small group and whole group instruction Manage independent reading logs and quizzes Analyze Lexile scores to determine reading abilities and suggestions for independent reading rotation Provide a learning environment that is trauma informed Provide instruction to address the State Benchmarks using researched based instructional techniques Complete records in a timely manner Assist with facilitating standards-based assessments. Communicate to all members of the school & community Meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position Maintain a philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools Work cooperatively with staff Follow the requirements of supervisors Provide classroom instruction and keep accurate student records Other duties as assigned
