Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards
- Provide instruction to high school students in various subjects, such as English, math, science, or social studies
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth
- Use instructional technology and learning resources to enhance student learning experiences
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Mentor and support students in their academic and personal development
- Provide academic advising to students regarding course selection and career goals
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to support student success
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license in the subject area(s) being taught
- Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development
- Strong knowledge of learning technologies and their integration into the classroom
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
- Experience in mentoring and supporting students' academic growth
- Knowledge of library services, journalism, proofreading, or other relevant skills is a plus
