Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards
  • Provide instruction to high school students in various subjects, such as English, math, science, or social studies
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth
  • Use instructional technology and learning resources to enhance student learning experiences
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Mentor and support students in their academic and personal development
  • Provide academic advising to students regarding course selection and career goals
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians to support student success
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching certification/license in the subject area(s) being taught
  • Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development
  • Strong knowledge of learning technologies and their integration into the classroom
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting students' academic growth
  • Knowledge of library services, journalism, proofreading, or other relevant skills is a plus
