English Teacher Ida Crown Jewish Academy - 4.0 Skokie, IL Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Learning styles adaptability Adaptive instruction Full Job Description English Teacher - Ida Crown Jewish Academy Ida Crown Jewish Academy is seeking a dynamic, student-centered English teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming school year. Our school serves a broad range of learners, and we are looking for an educator who is committed to meeting students where they are and helping them thrive. About the Position The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in differentiated or mixed-ability classrooms, or a strong willingness to be trained in these approaches. The successful candidate will teach four sections of English Language Arts, with the majority of the course assignment consisting of senior English electives such as public speaking and creative writing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (required) Experience with differentiated instruction (preferred) New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply; openness to professional training specifically in differentiated instruction is required Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Schedule & Compensation This is an afternoon teaching position. Students at Ida Crown attend Judaic courses in the mornings, with general studies classes meeting from approximately 12:30 p.m. to 5:40 p.m., Monday through Thursday , with shorter hours on Fridays .
