Yorkville Community School District 115 Yorkville High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate High School EL teacher who has experience in the classroom. We are seeking to hire a teacher who maintains a positive learning environment centered on high academic expectations, creating a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our school in becoming an exemplar as it relates to seeking and implementing strategies for improving student achievement and growth for all students. This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities in the Social Science Division to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning

BRIEF DESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY

Yorkville CUSD has an opening for a full time 1.0 FTE English Language Learners Teacher (ELL) for Yorkville High School. This position will support EL students with English language acquisition in the domains of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in their content areas. The EL teacher will be expected to provide a nurturing, collaborative, supportive and positive learning environment with high expectations. The ELL teacher will be expected to follow a co-teaching model as a way to push-in and support students in the classroom in the content areas.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Possesses strong content knowledge/experience in EL language instruction. Prior experience teaching in a blended delivery model is highly desired but not required Current Professional Educators License with an aga appropriate ESL endorsement.
