Position Summary:
The Middle School Academic Success Strategy Teacher is responsible for providing targeted academic interventions to students in need of additional support. This position utilizes instructional models to address skill deficits, accelerate learning, and promote success in core content areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to whole group and small groups Collect, analyze, and interpret student data to identify learning gaps, monitor progress, and adjust instructional plans accordingly. Collaborate with teachers and instructional teams to design and implement effective intervention strategies aligned with school and district initiatives. Maintain accurate and timely records of student participation, progress, and instructional adjustments. Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and recommended supports. Participate in data team meetings, professional learning communities, and school-wide initiatives related to student achievement and intervention. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on evidence-based intervention practices and adolescent learning strategies. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
Qualifications:
Valid teaching license or certification as required by the state (ELA endorsement preferred). Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of research-based intervention strategies and progress-monitoring tools. Experience working with middle school students in an instructional or intervention setting preferred. Strong data analysis, organizational, and record-keeping skills. Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to supporting equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all students. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.
